ABOUT THE FUNDRAISING:

andira-tara-and-becca Our proceeds typically go towards a need, whether local or distant. Christ Wesleyan Church often works with World Hope International to provide wells, rural development, micro-financing, education, and hope to many communities in struggling economies. We have a goal at each event, whether liberating several trafficking victims, buying cows for a village, or assisting a local family or charity in need.

We will designate the funds per event after prayerful consideration. If you would like to download a World Hope brochure, go here: http://www.worldhope.org/pdf/trfbrochuremr.pdf

June 21, 2008:  75% of proceeds went to World Hope International/25% went to Christ Wesleyan Church’s mortgage.

October 25, 2008:   We created a goal to raise enough money to liberate a bondservant in Pakistan and provide this person with a micro-financing loan.  We made our goal!

December 20th, 2008:  We had a goal to raise money to provide a selection of gifts from the World Hope Catalog, such as student desks, seeds, goats, and gardening tools.   We more than made our goal!

March 21, 2009:  Sam Stack and Heather Everhart are young adults leaving as missionaries to a country in Southeast Asia.  We will be raising money to assist them in their journey.

.

Our hope is that all of us, whether assisting in the café or visiting for the first time, may have an opportunity to reach out to the world around us, providing hope and encouragement through Jesus Christ and his teaching. The Union Cross Café impacts our local community as well as communities abroad.  Come be a part of this impact.
